The video is 17 minutes in length and has been designed primarily for use with professionals in the industry, classroom use for children 12 years of age and older, and use with planning boards, industry related trade associations, and city councils. The video educates people about the basic components of the water well system and shows the entire well drilling process from initial well design and construction to the finished project. The video also addresses the advantages of a user-owned water well system and the professional services provided by the water well industry. The video focuses primarily on home wells but is general enough to be applicable to almost any well construction scenario.

When Citizens in Minnesota Need a Water Well
|
| |
The Minnesota Water Well Association (MWWA) and the American Ground Water Trust have teamed up together to prepare a consumer informational pamphlet that will better help citizens in Minnesota make good economic and environmental decisions about water wells.
"When Citizens in Minnesota Need a Water Well" pamphlet enables your customers to understand the process of well drilling from its beginning stages to the final finished product. It describes, in detail, the Hydrologic cycle of gound water; the process of how and where the water we drink, and use, comes from; and where the water is stored beneath the ground's surface. The pamphlet relays helpful information for common problems that may arise while well drilling, as well as ways to ensure that the water available to your customers is safe and contaminant free. The Ground Water Protection Summary lists what people should know; what every person should do; and what every community should have to ensure safe drinking water. Lastly, it is important that every home and building owner should know it is a legal requirement for all water well drilling contractors to be licensed. A brief professional contractor checklist is provided for you and your customers in the "When Citizens in Minnesota Need a Water Well" pamphlet.
