About MWWA

Mission: We promote, protect, and support the interests of the water well industry to provide Minnesotans with access to a safe and reliable water supply.

The Minnesota Water Well Association (MWWA) was established in 1923 to act as a representative of the well drilling industry throughout the state. The association has shown steady growth and gained respect over the years. The MWWA, now more than 200 members strong, is recognized as a thoughtful and responsible representative of the well drilling industry in the eyes of our state government.

The MWWA serves contractors involved in well construction and repair. This includes contractors for water wells, monitoring wells, unconventional wells, dewatering wells, well abandonment, pump installation, elevator shafts, and bore holes.

The MWWA maintains close relations with the National Ground Water Association (NGWA). The MWWA is represented on the National Association's Board of Directors. Several of our members have won prestigious NGWA awards. We have arranged visits by the National Association's Executive Director to speak on controversial ground water issues in Minnesota.
